Summer Programs

2026 Summer Programs 

Enrollment Now Open!!

Our summer camps are full of activities and hands-on projects that help us to connect, utilize, enjoy, and learn from the gifts of Nature.​

​

This summer we are only able to offer 1 Saplings camp and 1 Cedars camp.  Because we can only offer one of each, we fully expect these camps to fill up very quickly.  YOU MUST FILL OUT REGISTRATION AND SUBMIT PAYMENT TO SECURE YOUR CHILD'S SPOT

Saplings

Ages 3-5/Potty-trained (Exceptions can be made for children with special needs. Please inquire for specifics)

 

Nature camp for Pre-K kids!  During these camps, we will explore our connection to nature through open-ended play using natural materials, as well as engaging with the forest and garden through activities designed to foster connection and appreciation for the natural world.

Dates and Rates

JULY 27-30

4 half-day camp: Monday-Thursday 9-1; $295/week (Materials and T-shirt Included) *Sliding scale tuition available, please contact us for more details

I am Nature, and Nature is Me Camp:  In this camp, children will connect with nature through play, hands-on projects, storytelling, and music using natural materials, the forest, and the garden as our classroom.  We will be engaging with a number of creative mediums including wet-felting, flower pounding, natural pigments, and hand-stitching.

Cedars

Ages 6-13

Nature Camp for School-aged kids!  During these camps children will have the opportunity to express themselves through art and discussion, make new friends through games and interactive play, connect through hands-on activities that utilize wild/natural materials, and build skills through adult-guided instruction and exploration in the forest and garden.

Nature Connection Camp:  In this camp children will be engaging in a multitude of activities that help foster connection.  We will be diving into Nature arts and crafts, learning some basics skills of foraging and survival, and exploring upcycling and repurposing.  In addition, we will be engaging in activities such playing games, telling stories, listening to and playing music, and journaling to help us better understand and connect with ourselves, one another, and our environment.    â€‹

Activities and Projects

  • Creating our own writing journals with wet felting, stitching, and flower pounding individual concepts 

  • Learning the basics of plant foraging and identification and Wilderness Survival

  • Upcycling trash into treasure by turning old plastic and fabric into functional art

  • Writing songs and stories using our camp experience and nature connection as inspiration 

  • Playing group games intended to provoke thought, communication, creativity, and connection

***All camps are inclusive and affirming and are intended for all children.  If your child has high-support needs, please reach out so that we can put proper plans in place to ensure they have equitable access to what Root and Rise camps have to offer.  ​
